A Better Society
I believe it is very important for society to overlook differences in color and religion to keep moving forward as a society. Especially in the current state of affairs where the United States saw an overwhelmingly increase in xenophobia with the election of President Donald J. Trump. President Trump was able to expose the hatred fostered by many Americans for his cause. The marginalization and oppression of many minorities regresses the progress that has been made. I think it is also important to educate all people to stop the spread of racism. For example, many people believe the negative stereotypes about not only Jews but as well as Muslims and other groups. Due to the growing spread of terrorism, many people have come to believe that all Muslims foster terrorist ideology. Another example is the spread of Anti-Semitism that exists currently. In the last few months, Jewish cemeteries and temples have come under attack. It is crucial for the betterment of society to put aside the differences that exist between us, and move forward as humans.
